Winter has arrived and the days have finally started to cool down. I tend to get excited at the beginning of each new season, winter is no exception. We have just started to light our slow combustion fire, yippee! There is something very relaxing sitting around our lounge room at night with the family while watching the flickering light and crackling sounds of a fire.
Now with winter upon us I need to sew a few staple for Zoe. Last year I purchased this beautiful light weight 100% New Zealand Merino Wool jersey fabric, I’ve been waiting for just the right project. It is sublime, light wight (160g), breathable and machine washable! (I’ve washed the jumper at least 5 times and it still looks and importantly feels amazing). I could keep going on all day just how beautiful this fabric is.
I drafted a quick and easy raglan sleeve jumper with hood and teamed it Panda print with leggings (another wardrobe staple), fabric from Crafty Mamas Fabrics. One of the reasons I love sewing with knits is that it took a total of 1.5 hours to draft, print, tape and sew the entire set!
The hoodie has been lined with the panda print tying the set together beautifully (if I do say so myself).
